This is an experiment in practical choreography for mother and daughter.

It is an exercise in flexibility.

It's an attempt to be this and that.

From sunlight, to stage lights, wrapped in our own thin skin.

Once (not long ago) we were inseparable

We are learning to let go,

step by step.

 

The piece ORLEOR is the first shot in the beginning of a long-term project, in which Sophie, my baby daughter and I, will perform a duet we created. We’ll do it at least once a year, for three years. The duet is a choreographic outline that supposed to contain our changes in the first years of life and motherhood. This process is an attempt to find the way/dance that we can dance together and separately, to be one body and two separate bodies.
